Cheap Bathroom Suites

There are many choices to make when choosing cheap bathroom suites. First you have to choose between a steel enamelled bath or an acrylic bath.

You don’t see many steel baths today but they do still exist and sometime this is the type of bath that comes with cheap bathroom suites. Whilst a steel bath can feel lovely and warm all over when they are full of hot water there is always the worry of chipping them if you drop something inside them. They can chip quite easily and I once chipped one whilst fitting it as my spanner hit the side from underneath.

The vast majority of baths are likely to be acrylic, but always remember to check when purchasing.

You can find many designs with and even in the cheaper options, such a the shell design which usually have a large shell design up the sitting end of the bath, under the basin and on the toilet seat, there are also other designs but the most popular today is probably a plain type of design.

You can buy low cost suites and make them look much more luxurious by adding beautiful taps but be aware that taps can often be very expensive and this may well push the price  up so your cheap suite becomes expensive.

Cheap bathroom suites can be purchased in different colours although these days the vast majority seem to be white, if you choose a white suite you have the benefit of being able to decorate around it with any colour, so when you fancy a change in years to come you are unrestricted.

If you do go for plain white bathroom suite with the idea that you might change the colour scheme in the future then you may want to consider keeping your tiles or panelling a neutral colour as these can restrict your choice of colour even if the suite doesn’t.

These days cheap bathroom suites really are that and they can be bought for just a few hundred, when you consider how long they last it really does seem like a bargain. If you go for this lower cost option it will probably cost you more for the labour of fitting it, unless you are lucky enough to be able to fit it yourself, or maybe you have a handy relative who would help you out.

It can be easier to undertake jobs like fitting cheap bathrooms if you use modern push on fittings, these can save anyone from having to solder to adjust the pipes to suit the new suite.

Finding a decent plumber can often be a difficult task and where possible you should use one who has been recommended by a friend who has used the service before. Failing that then you should get at least three estimates and have a chat with each of the plumbers, this should give you a good feel of whether or not the plumber seems reliable or indeed knows what their talking about.
