Bath
Some people
enjoy a bath and others enjoy a shower, maybe you prefer to
take a shower and your partner the opposite. Moreover in these
times of energy efficiency, even if you do like a bath, a
shower is a more economical solution to washing oneself, more
economical in terms of water definitely, but also in terms of
energy used if you don’t stay in there too long. But what
happens when you don’t have the space for both? Well there is
an answer and that answer is the shower bath. A shower bath is
a space saving device which has come about out of pure
necessity, that necessity being space saving.
Shower baths
usually incorporate an enlarged bulbous end in which you can
stand to take a shower, these are usually incorporated with a
glass door to suit the shape of the bath which stops the water
running out all over the floor.
Shower baths
come in a variety of shapes and sizes from the very small 1500
shower bath up to a standard length bath; they may be curved,
square or rectangular on the end. If you do opt for a smaller
sized bath make sure that you don’t compromise on the depth of
it as the depth is a major factor in enjoying a long soak in
your shower bath.
Some shower
baths are of the walk in variety which have a door to make for
easy entry for less able people but aside from this, other
things which you should look out for are the style and comfort
of the headrest, the design and of course don’t forget the
cost.
You will find a
wide range of shower baths available on the high street but an
even better selection online at the various bathroom stores
available. If you want to see the bath in real life before
ordering you can check your local suppliers first then see if
you can obtain the bath online for much less.
An alternative
to the shower bath is to purchase an ordinary bath and a
suitable bath screen to go around it, these can be a little
cramped in an ordinary bath but manageable dependant on your
size but one thing to bear in mind is that corner bath suites
often have much more room than a standard bath on one end so
these can make perfect baths to fit a shower
over.
